Klaus-Michael Christensen

Klaus-Michael Christensen is President and co-founder of Swiss Impact Investment Association. Klaus-Michael believes that growing the aspiration of providing a social & environmental positive “Impact” in society through investment and entrepreneurship is the critical paradigm-shift needed in achieving the SDGs and a better collective future.

In the Swiss Impact Investment Association he organises the annual Zug Impact Summit in Switzerland. The Summit offers investors a unique opportunity to network with global thought leaders, governments, entrepreneurs, financial institutions, corporations, social and environmental activists, NGOs, charitable foundations, faith groups and impact investors to discuss how to influence society positively through investment and entrepreneurship. Last year’s Summit witnessed the announcement of the Zug Declaration and the Zug Guidelines.

Klaus-Michael is a Danish national with an entrepreneurial mindset. He has broad managerial and technical experiences within both the financial and IT sectors. He is a founder of several companies in Switzerland. He joined the banking and wealth management industry in Switzerland in 2001 where he worked for organisations such as Rothchild Bank, Lloyds TSB, Coutts, and Société Générale. Klaus-Michael founded a real-time financial-data company and co-founded a private equity firm for biotech and IT investments. He is educated in Boston, Massachusetts, at Bentley University, earning degrees in Economics, Finance and Marketing.
