Rachel Zedeck is an internationally recognized impact agri-preneur with 20 years of experience in Middle East, Africa and Asia. She passionately advocates for the advancement of smallholder farmers, SME agribusiness, women and the environment. Her work has successfully commercialized responsible smallholder production models into economically, socially and environmentally responsible value chains supplying local, regional and export markets. Her long-term vision is to empower entrepreneurs, investors, consumers, government and non-profit organizations with unique knowledge to make critical decisions, leverage opportunities and minimize risk. Her current portfolio includes commercialization of the Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP) and the use of blockchain to increase transparency and sustainability in Asian agribusiness.
Her previous ventures have received accolades including the 2010 UNEP/UNDP SEED Award for “green” enterprise, 2012 GSBI Fellowship in Social Entrepreneurship and the 2013 KATERVA award for sustainable design in commercial agriculture
